Third World Nomad Games and tourist potential of Kyrgyzstan presented in Germany

Within the framework of the Open Door Day, on July 6, 2018, the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic together with the International Academy for the Conservation of Nature organized a presentation of the Third World Nomad Games, the tourist potential of the country, as well as a photo exhibition dedicated to 90 th aanniversary of famous Kyrgyz writer Chyngyz Aitmatov on the famous Wilm Island (Germany), located in the Baltic Sea, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported. Wilm Island is located near the large island of Rügen, which is the most popular tourist area in Germany, and attracts visitors with its unusual forests and picturesque nature. Every year many tourists visit the island on the Open Day. The embassy installed a Kyrgyz yurt with national decorations. A video presentation of the nomadic games was held, booklets, magazines and other information materials about the tourist potential of the country were distributed. Visitors showed a special interest in the upcoming World Nomad Games and ethnotourism in Kyrgyzstan. The head of the International Conservation Academy of the Federal Nature Conservation Agency of the Federal Republic of Germany, who worked in Kyrgyzstan for many years in the field of environmental protection Torsten Harder noted that the Kyrgyz yurt is a symbol of sustainable development and careful attitude to nature in Central Asia. The number of guests of the Open Day was more than 1500 people.
