Two documentary films of young Kyrgyz directors shown in Minsk

Bishkek, Oct. 8, 2018. /Kabar/. The Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Belarus took part in the screening of two documentary films of young Kyrgyz directors Ilgiz-Sherniyaz Tursunbek uulu “Naslediye” (Russian: Наследие, lit.: Heritage) and Maria Naumova “Devushka Orkestr” (Russian: Девушка оркестр, lit.: Girl-Orchestra) in the framework of the 3rd Eurasia.DOC CIS Countries Documentary Film Festival, which took place from 1 to 4 October 2018 in Minsk, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The aim of the Festival is to support the most talented documentalist of the Commonwealth countries, to search for young, bright authors who create television and film journalism today, and to develop creative contacts.
Both famous and beginning documentary film makers from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Estonia took part in the film forum.
According to the results of the festival, Ilgizu-Sherniyaz Tursunbek uulu was awarded the diploma of the finalist of the out-of-competition showing of the Eurasia.DOC Documentary Film Festival of the CIS countries for the film “Naslediye”.
The short documentary film by M. Naumova “Devushka Orkestr” took the 3rd place among the youth short film competition “Eurasia.DOC. 4 minutes".
