OIC Secretary-General Holds Talks with IIUM Rector
Jeddah, August 21, 2023, SPA -- Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Hissein Brahim Taha received at the OIC General Secretariat yesterday Rector of the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) Professor Tan Sri Dato' Dzulkifli Abdul Razak.
The two officials discussed ways to enhance cooperation among OIC General Secretariat, IIUM and other OIC Islamic universities in Bangladesh, Niger, Uganda and Chad.
IIUM was established on May 23, 1983, on Islamic principles and values, and acquired the status of an OIC-affiliated institution in 2011. Over 40 years, IIUM has become a modern university of international stature with over 30,000 students from more than 100 countries. It offers undergraduate and graduate courses, and has greatly contributed to the development of human resources across OIC member states.
