‘Assad’s peace plan shows Syrian govt. determined to implement reforms’

TEHRAN,Jan.9(MNA) – Iranian Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said on Tuesday that the new peace plan that President Bashar al-Assad unveiled on Sunday shows that the Syrian government is quite determined to implement political reforms, adding that the plan has the potential to resolve the crisis. The plan Assad presented calls for the convening of a national reconciliation conference and the formation of a broad-based representative government that would then oversee new elections, the drafting of a new constitution, and a general amnesty.
