5th Enlarged Plenary Meeting of 9th UAWK Central Committee Held

Pyongyang, October 7 (KCNA) -- There took place the 5th Enlarged Plenary Meeting of the 9th Central Committee of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea (UAWK) on Oct. 6. Present at the meeting were members and alternate members of the UAWK Central Committee. Attending it as observers were UAWK officials from Pyongyang and the provinces. The meeting discussed the issue for carrying through the very important tasks advanced in the historic policy speech made by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un at the 7th Session of the 14th Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK. A report was made by Han Jong Hyok, chairman of the C.C., UAWK. He reviewed the work of UAWK organizations for implementing the administrative policy of the DPRK government set forth at the 5th Session of the 14th SPA, and underlined the need for UAWK organizations to fulfill their responsibility and roles more creditably in the ongoing struggle for bringing about a new turn in the development of the state. The reporter called on all the UAWK officials and members to take an active part in the struggle for devotedly carrying out the very important tasks set forth in the policy speech. The enlarged plenary meeting had an in-depth discussion on the draft decision and adopted the relevant decision on the basis of the opinions. -0-
