5TH MEETING OF MINISTRIES HELD

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The fifth meeting ran between the Ministry of Industry and Agriculture of Mongolia and the Ministry of Agriculture of the People's Republic of China on October 23. The Mongolian side was led by the chairman of department of strategic policy and planning of the Mongolian Ninistry Mr L.Choi-Ish, the Chinese--by Mr Zhu C Shi, the head of Department of International Cooperation of the Chinese Ministry. The sides focused on such matters as mechanization in agriculture, agriculture origin products export, livestock health, fight against transborder animals' diseases, a strengthening of agricultural staffers and farmers' capabilities. The parties signed a protocol that determines the 2013-2014 years cooperation directions. Mr Choi-Ish said a noticeable progress has been made in the last two years, the sides made a 200 million USD investments, and that herdsmen and farmers have been preferring the veterinary and fodder preparation. Mr Zhu C Shi noted that this meeting is fruitful, "we have given a conclusion to the last two years' work and have outlined the cooperation of the next two years”, and that their side is interested in Mongolia's experience in dealing with winter store houses. As the sides agreed, their next meeting will take place in 2014 in China. Ch.Enkhtuya
