ABOUT IMPLEMENTATION OF "100 THOUSAND APARTMENTS" PROGRAM

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ On Wednesday, the Minister of Road, Transportation, Construction and Urban Development Ts.Dashdorj gave a report to the cabinet on implementation of apartments provision goal reflected in a targeted middle-term program "New Great Construction". The government intends to grant loans with interests up to six per cent to those who want to buy for the first time apartment, less than 50 square meters, in a scope of the "100 thousand apartments" program. For this reason, an obligation has been given to a related Minister to collect money from commercial banks' own capital, to grant them money from the Development Bank of Mongolia (DBM), and to work out a proposal on selecting the most proper version of placing money in annual state budget for recovering the interests' margin. Related Ministers have been ordered to intensify a selection of a performer of new apartments pipelines' construction. A financial resource will be tackled in order to construct outer engineering pipelines for apartments to be erected near Buyant-Ukhaa, Mongolian National Public Radio and Television, 7th and 13th micro-districts. In frames of the "100 thousand apartments" program, 75 thousand apartments will be constructed in the capital city, 25 thousand--in aimags. In 2011, some 9,800 apartments were put into use. B.Khuder
