ACCIDENTS AND DISASTERS IN FIGURES

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ In the first nine months of 2012, three thous. five disasters and accidents occurred. As a result, 195 people died, 12.2 thousand heads of livestock and animals were lost. There were 2,563 structure fires, 187 forest fires and wildfires, 90 accidental drowning and submersion incidents, 34 heavy rain and floods, 30 animal madness diseases, 20 incidents related to artisan mining rock falls, 18 severe storms, 15 thunder occurred, 14 malignant anthrax, and 10 emergency calls related to chemical substance usage in the first nine months of 2012.
