AGRICULTURE MINISTER MEETS VIETNAMESE AMBASSADOR

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On November 28, Food, Agriculture and Light Industry Minister B. Batzorig met Vietnamese Ambassador Doan Thi Huong. To begin the meeting, the Ambassador expressed her hopes that the two countries with over 60 years of diplomatic relations would enrich it with agricultural cooperation. Minister B.Batzorig said “Currently, the trade turnover between the two countries stands at over USD40 million; thus the Ministry is working to increase the trade turnover to USD50 million next year and to USD70 millionin two years.” The sides agreed to resolve the hygienic certificate of deep-frozen meats of sheep, goat, cow and horse to be exported to Vietnam, and make a risk assessment in nearest future. In the end of the meeting, the Ambassador invited Minister B.Batzorig to attend a regular meeting of intergovernmental commission of the two countries to be held in 2019. She also requested the Minister to study the issue to open a direct flight between the two countries to develop tourism, agriculture and trade. M. Unurzul
