AMONG OTHERS, MONGOLIA FOUNDS COALITION OF ONLINE FREEDOM

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ Mongolia has joined the Coalition of Online Freedom (COF), appreciating a statement released by international conference of online freedom held December 9 in the Hague, the Netherlands. 15 countries including Mongolia were named as the coalition's founders. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to Belgium A.Battor participated in the conference, representing the Foreign Minister G.Zandanshatar. There were also Mrs. Hillary R. Clinton, the US Secretary of State; the Foreign Ministers of the Netherlands, Sweden and Estonia; the Human Right Commissioner of the European Union; a Deputy Secretaries of the European Council; and ambassadors of some countries. The members have decided to host the next conference in Nairobi, Kenya. The Netherlands--the initiator of the COF -- promised to spend EUR 6 million for the COF's activities. B.Khuder
