ANDREW SCHEER RECIEVES MONGOLIAN VICE SPEAKER

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The Speaker of the House of Commons of Canada, Mr Andrew Scheer received the Vice speaker of Mongolia's parliament Mr S.Bayartsogt during his participation in the 127th meeting of the Inter-Parliamentary Union /IPU/ on October 22. The two sides discussed the relationship and cooperation between Mongolia and Canada, particularly the cooperation between the parliaments, and exchanged views. Mr Bayartsogt spoke about the newly formed cabinet for reforms and said a work is running to introduce the Canadian mining responsibility, agriculture, construction, roads standards to Mongolia. Then Mr Bayartsogt invited Mr Scheer to Mongolia with a visit. Mr Scheer accepted the invitation thankfully and said he really wanted to visit Mongolia. The same day, S.Bayartsogt met with the Speaker of the Senate, Parliament of Canada, Mr Noel Kinsella. Mr Bayartsogt affirmed that Mr Kinsella is invited to Mongolia and hoped it will be done in near future. Then the two sides considered the cooperation between Mongolia and Canada, especially between two parliaments. After this, S.Bayartsogt and Yo.Otgonbayar MP exchanged views on the activities of Mongolia-Canada and Canada-Mongolia parliamentary groups with the Senator Josep A Day, the head of Parliamentary group of Canada and Mongolia. Present at this meeting was the Ambassador of Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary of Mongolia to Canada Mr T.Zalaa-Uul and some diplomatic officials. In the Session has been participating over 1,500 officials from 130 countries, also representatives of international and non-governmental organizations, a well as delegations led by Speakers of 26 countries and vice speakers of 46 countries.
