CABINET APPROVES TWO PROCEDURES ON PRESERVING TANGIBLE CULTURAL HERITAGE

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ “Procedure for inspection and census of tangible cultural heritages” and “Procedure of customs clearance for cultural heritage items” have been approved during the Cabinet meeting on August 23. These regulations will not be increasing jobs or pressure the State Budget and will improve inspections and customs clearance of historical and tangible cultural heritages, as well as dictating the rights and responsibilities of involved parties. Preparation, organization, monitoring, documenting and protections have been defined in details and Commission on Inspection and Census' rights and responsibilites have been defined on the draft "Procedures for inspection of tangible cultural heritages and censuses". “Procedure of customs clearance for cultural heritage items” will be settling the relations of customs clearance of unique cultural heritage. For instance, issuing license request, resolving the request, granting license, customs clearance of cultural heritage items, checking license and reporting process will be improved through the procedure, while defining license holder’s rights and responsibilities in details.
