CABINET MEETING IN BRIEF

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The cabinet meeting on Wednesday decided to give cash prizes to young chess players who have won medals in the Junior Asian Championships for Chess which took place from June 25 to July 2 in Sri Lanka. A gold medalist Ye.Togstomor will receive MNT 2 million, a silver medalist G.Enkhchimeg--MNT 1.5 million, bronze medalists Ts.Lhagvasuren, G.Uchral, E.Baasansuren and B.Oyunsuvd--MNT 500 thousand each. The Minister of Finance was allowed to allot the money from the governmental reserved fund. - The cabinet backed its draft report on implementation of the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination (ICERD). It will be submitted to the UN Secretariat. - The cabinet backed a draft resolution on approving the Mongolia-Turkey intergovernmental protocol on performance of financial assistance in order to realize the bilateral governmental agreement on non-refundable aid for the military sector. - Pursuant to the cabinet decision, special licenses for beer producers "Jagar international" and "Erdenet shand" LLCs are annulled due to an official document from the Central Intelligence Agency and to uniting some entities of alcoholic beverages within the amended law on company. The special licenses will be transferred to the "Interstandard brewery" LLC in accordance with the law. B.Khuder
