Cabinet meeting in brief
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The cabinet meeting on Saturday discussed and backed a draft policy on employment. It will be submitted to the State Great Khural (parliament).
- The Minister of Foreign Affairs L.Bold made a presentation about a forthcoming international summit themed “Dialogue on facilitating trade: Impact on landlocked and developing countries” of the World Trade Organization (WTO), which will be held on June 2-3 in Ulaanbaatar.
- The cabinet summarized the President’s participation in the 4th CICA Summit held in Shanghai, China, and then decided to submit it to the National Security Council (NSC).
- The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan will pay an official visit to Mongolia on June 3-4. The cabinet considered a directive for the Mongolian side to be maintained during the visit, and it will be approved by the Prime Minister N.Altankhuyag.
- The cabinet discussed and backed an intergovernmental agreement between Mongolia and the USA on repatriating dinosaur skeletons related to the Prokopi case and Oviraptor dinosaur egg fossils in terms of undoubtedly conditions. They have been smuggled from Mongolian territory and being kept as property of the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement. An order of the Prime Minister will be issued to authorize B.Altangerel, the Ambassador of Mongolia to the USA, to sign the document.
- By a cabinet decision, a rule was adopted for a national council in charge of regulating chemical poisonous and dangerous substances.
- The cabinet authorized Ya.Sanjmyatav, the Minister of Labour, to sign a memorandum of mutual understanding which has been established between the government of Mongolia and the International Labour Organization (ILO) on cooperation in supporting proper labour.
- The Minister of Health N.Udval introduced to the cabinet about its participation in the 67th session of the World Health Assembly (WHA) took place May 19–24 in Geneva, Switzerland.
- In accordance with a cabinet decision, S.Bayandalai has been appointed as head of the General Authority for Performing Court Decisions.
