"CHINGIS KHAAN" EXHIBITION OPENS IN USA

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ An exhibition named “Chingis Khaan” opened on February 24 in the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago, Illinois State, USA. A reception for the exhibition's opening was given on February 22 for people and organizations that organized or donated this exhibition.Present was also Kh.Bekhbat, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the USA. The museum's president and CEO Mr. John W. McCarter addressed the gathered expressing satisfaction with opening the exhibition on occasion of the 850th birth anniversary of Chingis Khaan. The vice president and Chief Investment Officer of Allstate Insurance Company, one of the biggest sponsors of the exhibition, Judith P. Greffin said this measure may help the U.S. people get understanding and knowledge about significant contributions of Chingis Khaan to the world's development such as free economic zone, diplomatic privileges, the postal system, and about a life of Chingis Khaan. The Mongolian Ambassador Bekhbat also expressed satisfaction with the exhibition and thanked on behalf of Mongolia's government the Field Museum, the Allstate Company, the Imagine Company and other sponsors. Mentioning about the 25th anniversary of the Mongolia-USA diplomatic relations celebrated this year, Mr. Bekhbat underlined that the exhibition will contribute to propagandizing the Mongolian history and culture to the U.S. people and to strengthening the mutual understanding between the tow nations.
