Day of Shining Star to Be Marked in Czech Republic

Pyongyang, January 27 (KCNA) -- A Czech preparatory committee for celebrating the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il (Day of the Shining Star) was formed in Prague on Jan. 9. Jozef Servista, first vice-chairman of the Paektusan Czech-Korean Friendship Association, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee. The committee set a celebration period from Jan. 20 to Feb. 20 and decided to hold diverse political and cultural events praising the revolutionary career and exploits of Kim Jong Il in the period. -0-
