Day of Shining Star to Be Marked in Ireland

Pyongyang, February 13 (KCNA) -- An Irish preparatory committee for celebrating the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il (the Day of the Shining Star) was formed on Feb. 3. Irina Malenko, chairwoman of the Ireland-Korea Friendship Association, was elected chairwoman of the preparatory committee. The committee decided to organize colorful political and cultural events such as a seminar and a film show in praise of the revolutionary career and exploits of Kim Jong Il on the occasion of the Day of the Shining Star. -0-
