DEMPARTY WANTS TO LEAVE COALITION GOVERNMENT
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The Democratic Party (DP) will leave the coalition government. A statement about it gave N.Altankhuyag, the DP chairman, at the “4:11” traditional meeting with the media on Thursday.
“This is our position about leaving the coalition government for the sake of the democratic governance,” Altankhuyag explained. He considers that the DP has played its "historical role in the coalition government".
“Three years and four months have passed since establishment of this government. Thanks to our coalition, we have managed to ensure a stability in the country, to overcome the global economic crisis, to start developing of small and middle businesses by increasing investments,” he said.
This year, the DP and the Mongolian People's Party (MPP) will take part in the election with own electoral programs, he added.
A final decision on leaving the coalition government will be made at a meeting of the National Consultative Committee soon, he said.
Apart of N.Altankhuyag, present at the meeting were D.Erdenebat, the DP secretary-general, and Ch.Saikhanbileg, a head of the DP faction.
