DEPUTY FM MEETS NEWLY APPOINTED FINNISH AMBASSADOR

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs B.Battsetseg met Jarno Syrjälä, newly appointed Ambassador of Finland to Mongolia, on October 31. B.Battsetseg congratulated Ambassador Jarno Syrjälä on becoming the Ambassador to Mongolia and underlined that friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries have been developing steadily over the years. She also said that Mongolia is interested in broadening bilateral cooperation in the fields of trade, economy, education, culture and winter sports. Ambassador Jarno Syrjälä presented a copy of the diplomatic credentials to the Deputy Minister, noted that he will focus on intensifying trade and economic cooperation between the two countries and mentioned that there is a good potential to start cooperation in the winter sports field as both countries have similar climate. Also both sides agreed to organize the Intergovernmental Commission and Political Consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs in the near future. M. Unurzul
