DEPUTY FOREIGN MINISTER B.BATTSETSEG MEETS HER TURKISH COUNTERPART

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On May 8, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Mongolia B.Battsetseg received Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Ambassador Ahmet Yıldız, who is paying a visit to Mongolia on May 6-9. At the meeting, Deputy Minister B.Battsetseg expressed her satisfaction with the successful development of the bilateral relations between Mongolia and Turkey in areas of politics, defense, culture and education. She then noted that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia would like to cooperate with Turkey to intensify bilateral economic and trade ties in the future. The dignitaries agreed to pay attention to organize events to promote participation of Mongolian and Turkish businesspeople in the scope of the 8th meeting of an intergovernmental commission on trade and economy between Mongolia and Turkey, which is expected to take place this autumn and to focus to regularize such measures. Ahmet Yildiz, Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister underlined that Mongolia and Turkey have broad possibilities to strengthen tourism relations and to bring the people of two countries closer to each other based on the similarities of the culture and traditions, in spite of the geographical distance. Afterwards, the Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister met with J.Batsuuri, Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Sports, Kh.Bulgantuya, Deputy Minister of Finance and B.Tsogtgerel, Deputy Minister of Road and Transport Development of Mongolia.
