DEPUTY PM RECEIVES RUSSIAN AMBASSADOR

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ “It is potential for Mongolia to export meat and meat products, woolen and cashmere items and leather products in a large quantity, but there is still an impediment due to Russian customs and tax related matters. In this regard, we need to collaborate to eliminate tariff and non-tariff barriers,” said Deputy Prime Minister U.Enkhtuvshin, when he met I.K. Azizov, Ambassador of Russia on November 7.
At meeting, they exchanged views on soft loans to be received from Russia, present cooperation between the two countries in railway, infrastructure, energy and environment sectors, projects to be implemented within Mongolia-Russia-China Economic Corridor Infrastructure Project and others.
As Head of the Mongolian side to the Mongolia-Russia intergovernmental commission, U.Enkhtuvshin expressed his commitment to collaborate with Russia in boosting the bilateral relations and cooperation in the framework of mid-term strategy on strategic partnership development.
He also noted an importance of organizing 21st meeting of the intergovernmental commission in this year and calling meetings of sub-commissions on regional and frontier cooperation and on education and scientific cooperation in near future.
