DEPUTY PREMIER RECEIVES AMBASSADOR OF CHINA

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia D.Terbishdagva received on Saturday Mr Wang Xiaolong, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Mongolia. The latter congratulated the Deputy Premier on being appointed as the head of the Mongolia-China intergovernmental commission, and said the bilateral strategic partnership relations, especially the economic cooperation, have gained achievements. Considering that the railway sector is expected to play the most important role in Mongolia's economic development, he said the Chinese side is ready to support the financing for the railway of Mongolia, to develop the manufacturing industry based on mining sector, and to tackle energy provision matter in realizing the Oyu tolgoi project. In response, Mr Terbishdagva said Mongolia's government attaches a great importance to the ties with China and expressed a satisfaction with the way Mongolia-China relations are deepened and enriched in all spheres. The railway sector is one of the key policiesy of Mongolia's development, and we want to keep our mutually beneficial economic cooperation by implementing the biggest projects," he said. For the country's economy, the Oyu tolgoi project is vital indeed but our government considers that it is necessary to alter the OT investment contract in order to improve responsibilities of the Mongolians. Then he said a compositions of the Mongolia-China intergovernmental commission and of its sub-commission have changed according to a formation of the new cabinet for reforms. B.Khuder
