DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER MEETS AUTHORITIES OF ERENHOT

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Deputy Prime Minister U.Enkhtuvshin met the authorities of Chinese border town Erenhot on the second day of his visit to Zamiin-Uud soum of Dornogobi aimag. The sides discussed the progress on the Zamiin-Uud-Erenhot Border Cooperation Zone, a 18 km square zone for cross-border economic cooperation. The Chinese side has executed infrastructure development works worth CNY 800 million in its 9 km square area for the last two years and expects its completion in 2018. The Erenhot leadership proposed three issues to the Deputy Prime Minister which were organizing the 4th Bilateral High-level Consultative Meeting in the near future so as to advance cross-border cooperation, including the cross-border cooperation zone issue in the agenda of Mongolia-China intergovernmental meeting, and to determine Mongolia's policy on Zamiin-Uud Free Economic Zone.
