Detained Iranian teachers get released in UAE

TEHRAN, Oct. 17 (MNA) – Deputy foreign minister for consular affairs has announced the release of Iranian teachers who had been arrested in the UAE. Iranian Deputy FM for Consular, Parliamentary and Expatriates Affairs Hassan Ghashghavi made the statement adding, “the teachers were released by the efforts of the Iranian ambassador to the United Arab Emirates." Deputy Minister of Education and Head of the Center for International Affairs and Schools Abroad Khalilollah Babalu had said earlier that nine Iranian teachers who were working at a school in Al Ain had been arrested; “the reason was that they were using Dubai visa instead of Al Ain visa,” he added. “Indeed, over the past few years Iranian teachers have been working in Al Ain with Dubai visas without any problem but the issue has caused certain problems for the teachers in the current year,” Babalu asserted.
