DFAFT SUBMITTED ON NATIONAL PRIDE DAY

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ Vice Speakers of Parliament S.Bayartsogt and L.Tsog together with N.Battsereg, Ts.Davaasuren, S.Oyun and D.Erdenebat MPs submitted on Thursday a draft amendment to the law on public celebration and memorable days to the Speaker Z.Enkhbold. Last month, the State Head Ts.Elbegdorj submitted to parliament a draft resolution on granting the Order of Chingis Khaan on November 14--the Birthday of Chingis Khaan. In conjunction with this, the draft initiators say about adding the Day of Mongolian Pride in the law on memorable days and making it a public holiday. The Order of Chingis Khaan is the highest state prize of Mongolia, created at a resolution of parliament on May 17 of 2002 pursuant to initiative of the second President N.Bagabandi. It is awarded on July 11. Apart of this, the initiators also have reflected in their amendment a clause on changing the public celebration of Day of Declaring the People's Republic of Mongolia celebrated on November 26 as a public day.
