Do Not Mock Public Candlelight Action: KCNA Commentary

Pyongyang, April 26 (KCNA) -- Traitor Park Geun Hye, who was punished by the public, is enjoying privilege in prison. The Seoul Detention House let criminal Park stay in a jailer's room for two days as demanded by her and gave her a solitary cell twice larger than a common one. It even provided her with an interview room and veiled its CCTV camera so that her private lawyer may be closeted with her anytime. Providing such privilege for Park is a foolish action of dolts who serve the top-class criminal and an intolerable mockery of the public who staged candlelight action in demand of taking her to the scaffold. It is a well-known fact that she is not entitled to enjoy any privilege as former "president" except escort and guard for her personal safety. What should not be overlooked is that the south Korean conservative group, seeking a way out in protecting Park, is calling for granting a pardon to her. Upon the disclosure of this fact, south Korean people from all walks of life are criticizing Park for failing to drop her bad habit of reigning over law and calling for forcing her to pay dearly for her crimes. They bitterly denounce the judicial authorities, getting vocal demanding to severely punish her. Punishment by history and public mindset has not yet ended. Although the prosecution sued her for her involvement in 18 crimes including bribery and power abuses, her 7-hour absence during the ferry Sewol sinking and other principal suspicions have not yet been made clear, and THAAD deployment, "agreement" on sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army, shutdown of the Kaesong Industrial Park and other evil doings have not yet been redressed. The reality proves that pro-Park evil-doers are still acting rashly in a bid to repeat her crime-woven history. Nothing can quench the will of the south Korean people to strictly punish the Park Geun Hye group going against the times and public mindset and to build a new democratic society. -0-
