Do Not Underestimate Yudhoyono's Government Legacy: Dino

Semarang, Central Java, April 22 (Antara) - Democratic Party presidential convention participant Dino Patti Djalal has stated that the next president should not underestimate the legacy of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono`s government. Dino, the outgoing Indonesian ambassador to the United States, noted that the next president should keep in mind Yudhoyono`s legacy of political stability and national economy. "Emerging economic countries, such as Thailand, are now stumbling amidst political crisis, and therefore the next president of Indonesia should appreciate the legacy of Yudhoyono`s government and not underestimate it," Dino stresses during his political safari in Semarang, Central Java on Monday night. He believes that the government by President Yudhoyono has given the best possible legacy in the history of the transition of the government in this country. Therefore, the participant of Democratic Party presidential convention expressed his hope that the next president of this country will maintain the momentum of positive development of the nation today. "If the next president is incapable and should Indonesia fall, it will take a long time for the country to wake up again. Do not forget that The Philippines had stumbled and then tried to wake up ten years afterward," Dino declared. He also emphasized on the importance of international trust in Indonesia that has been in progress so far. "In my opinion as a diplomat, the international trust in Indonesia is the most important asset that we have to maintain," Dino noted.
