DPRK Will Strongly Counteract U.S. Racket for Confrontation: Minju Joson

Pyongyang, December 20 (KCNA) -- The U.S. recently staged combined air exercises with south Korea after massively introducing such strategic assets as B-1B and F-22 Raptor and F-35 in the wake of which it again staged a missile warning drill with Japan and south Korea. The enemies do not hide that the recent joint drill is aimed to strengthen tripartite cooperation in fields like rocket tracking and information sharing. Commenting on this, Minju Joson Wednesday says this has proved that the U.S. and its vassal forces have gone desperate in their efforts to form the triangular military alliance for aggression and strengthen it under the pretext of "nuclear and missile threats" from the DPRK. The U.S. is keen on the policy for military confrontation on the Korean Peninsula in defiance of the unanimous concerns of the international community. This is aimed to maintain and strengthen the military hegemony in the region and create conditions favorable for carrying out the strategy for dominating Asia-Pacific, the commentary notes, and goes on: The U.S. regards the triangular military alliance involving Japan and south Korea as one of the essential elements for executing the strategy for dominating Asia-Pacific. Its intention is that it has to build the triangular military alliance in order to hold unchallenged edge in the military confrontation with the potential rivals and to establish the domination in the Asia-Pacific region. We will take strong countermeasures for the sovereignty of the country, dignity of the nation and peace on the Korean peninsula and the region and thus deal a telling blow on the U.S. and its vassal forces. -0-
