"E-PARLIAMENT" PROJECT TO BE IMPLEMENTED

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The “E-parliament” project will be implemented between 2013 and 2015 in several phases with a non-refundable aid of USD 3.5 million from the government of the Republic of Korea.
A protocol on the project, to be co-implemented by the Parliamentary Office of Mongolia and the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), was signed on October 26 by Ts.Sharavdorj, a head of the Parliamentary Office, and by Mr Choi Heung-yul, the KOICA Resident Representative to Mongolia.
An electronic information center of parliament will be created in accordance with the project, cameras' system and software needed will be renovated installed in parliamentary session hall and Standing committees' rooms, moreover, related staffers will be trained.
It is expected that the project will bring major achievements in developing oif the E-parliament. The electronic information center is designed to distribute to the public parliament-related news and information, and a database will be formed as well.
After the signing ceremony, Ts.Sharavdorj said the “E-archive” project was implemented before together with the KOICA, and it launched a preparation for this work. As of today, 45 per cent of all archived materials and files have been transferred into electronic version.
