ELECTION COMMITTEE BECOMES AAEA BOARD MEMBER

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The General Election Committee (GEC) of Mongolia has become a member of Board of the Asian Association of Election Authorities (AAEA). The decision was made at the 2014 AAEA annual conference held in New Delhi on this October 29-30. The conference discussed and then settled issues of amending the Charter of the association and memberships of election authorities of Russia, Maldives and Uzbekistan to the AAEA. In accordance with this Charter, the annual conference, obligated to re-appoint chairman, deputy chairman and members of the Board, selected the GEC as one of the five Board members. The responsibility received will be observed until 2016 when the next session of the AAEA General Assembly gathers. Our delegation was led by the Secretary of the GEC B.Altanjargal.
