ENVIRONMENT AND TOURISM MINISTER N.TSERENBAT MEETS HIS RUSSIAN COUNTERPART S.E.DONSKOI

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Minister of Environment and Tourism N.Tserenbat met today with Minister of Natural Resources and Environment of Russia S.E.Donskoi. The parties agreed to cooperate in forest fire prevention, fighting forest pests with biological method, creating transboundary special protected area as well as conducting a reconnaissance survey on movement of wild and endangered animals which migrate cross border. Minister N.Tserenbat expressed a request to accelerate work of a hydro-power station to be erected in the Selenge River basin. Present the meeting were delegates of the two sides including State Secretary of the Ministry Ts.Tsengel, Director of Climate Change and Foreign Cooperation Department of the Ministry D.Ariunbayar, Russian Ambassador to Mongolia I.K.Azizov, Director of the International Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment Inamov Nuritdin.
