ESCAP 2012 MONGOLIA REPORT PRESENTED

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ An event took place on Thursday in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to present a release of United Nations Economic and Social Survey of Asia and the Pacific 2012 "Pursuing shared prosperity in an era of turbulence and high commodity prices". This event is co-organized simultaneously in some 30 countries by the UNDP, Mongolia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and National Development and Innovation Committee (NDIC). Opening remarks were made by Ms. Sezin Sinanoglu, United Nations Resident Coordinator of the UNDP Resident Representative to Mongolia. Video messages were delivered from Dr. Noeleen Heyzer, Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and Executive Secretary, UNESCAP for Asia and the Pacific. Moreover, presentations will be made by Dr. Mia Mikic, an Economic Affairs Officer, Macroeconomic Policy and Development Division of the UNESCAP, and by Dr. Ch. Khashchuluun, a head of the NDIC.
