First VP, Syrian Premier Discuss Issues Of Interest

Tehran, Aug 6, IRNA – First Vice- President Eshaq Jahangiri, here on Monday, met with Syrian Prime Minister Wael Al-Halqi and praising the resistance of people in Syria, expressed hope that Syrias problems would be solved as soon as possible. According to Presidential Office Website, Jahangiri thanked his Syrian visitor to attend President Rohani's oath-taking ceremony and stressed on the support of Iranian nation for Syria. Referring to old relations between Tehran and Damascus, Wael Al-Halqi said the growing relations of Syria and Iran have had many achievements for the two countries. He expressed hope that with the help of Islamic Republic of Iran, the critical situation in Syria would end soon./end
