FM MEETS VICE CHANCELLOR OF AUSTRIA

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ Paying a working visit, the Minister of Foreign Affairs L.Bold met on Monday with Mr Michael Spindelegger, the Vice Chancellor of Austria and the Minister of Europe and International Affairs, and held negotiations on the bilateral relations and cooperation. The two sides shared views on works and measures to be done in frames of the 50th anniversary of the Mongolia-Austria diplomatic relations to be celebrated in 2013, measures for organizing high-level visits and supporting the economic and developing the cooperation in the sectors of culture, education and tourism. The Minister L.Bold introduced to Mr Spindelegger some works being done by Mongolia within chairmanship of the Community of Democracies (CoD), and invited Mr Spindelegger to participate in a Ministerial meeting of the CoD to be held next year in Ulaanbaatar. The sides noted that the Mongolia-Austria intergovernmental commission is an important mechanism for strengthening the bilateral economic relations, and then considered an issue on effectively exploiting a soft-loan of EUR 40 million agreed to be rendered from Austria. Moreover, the sides raised matters on cooperating within multi-lateral collaboration and rendering support, and then agreed to support each other within the International Anti Corruption Academy (IACA), the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) and the United Nations. This meeting is the first meeting held at foreign ministerial level after the Foreign Minister of Mongolia Ts.Gombosuren visited Austria twenty years ago. B.Khuder
