FM MEETS WEF EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ On Wednesday, the Minister of Foreign Affairs L.Bold started his working visit to Switzerland.
His first leg was a meeting with Mr Klaus M.Schwab, an executive chairman of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Geneva.
The FM introduced Mr Schwab to a present political and economic situation of Mongolia, then the sides shared views on the mining sector, anti-corruption initiative to cooperate with the WEF, on collaboration in the environment and water sectors.
The Minister said he is satisfied with active participation of Mongolia in the WEF actions and measures, with involvng Mongolian young leaders in some initiatives such as the World's young leadership, and expressed a willingness to strengthen the collaboration between Mongolia and the WEF.
The parties agreed to have Mongolian companies become the production partnership members of the WEF, to organize the World Economic Ulaanbaatar Meeting next year, and to establish a mutual understanding memorandum to determine the cooperation frames.
Mr Schwab hoped that the President of Mongolia will take part in the WEF 2013 to exchange views and experiences with his counterparts of countries and business leaders.
After this meeting, the Minister met Michael Tost, a head of Mining and Metals Industry team at the WEF; Joel Fernandes, a project manager of the Partnering Against Corruption Initiative (PACI); and Martin Hayden, a project manager of the Mineral Resources Development Initiative. In frames of the PACI, the Mongolian side talked about running an annual meeting in Mongolia.
The Foreign Minister affirmed that Mr Schwab has been invited to Mongolia.
