FM TS.MUNKH-ORGIL VISITING ISRAEL

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At the invitation of the Government of Israel, Foreign Minister Ts.Munkh-Orgil is visiting Israel between August 23 and 26. Accordingly, the Foreign Minister met with Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu to exchange views on two countries’ relations and cooperation on August 24.
During the meeting, Mongolian side presented the Government’s foreign policy and its priorities, as well as discussed regularization of the high-level dialogues to strengthen the friendly relations of the two countries and maintain its frequency, and broaden ties in politics, economy, agriculture, humanitarian and other sectors.
Also, FM Ts.Munkh-Orgil met with Minister of Agriculture of Israel Uri Ariel and discussed to study and exchange practices of Israel’s success in the sector and actively cooperate within the sphere. Israel’s side introduced milk, vegetable and farming industry’s greenhouse watering system and invited Mongolia to the International Agriculture Exhibition expected around May, 2018 in Israel.
During the visit, a consultative meeting of the two ministries was held, discussing larger frame issues on two countries’ relations and cooperation. As a result, a cooperation protocol was signed between Mongolia and Israel.
The protocol addressed the high-level political relations of the two countries and the significance of intensification of cooperation in economy and trade, agreeing to cooperate in the future. Also, the sides decided to expedite cooperation in agriculture, health, environment, education and cooperation sectors. As well as organizing joint event for exchanging young leaders and media, information, technology and cyber security.
Furthermore, sides agreed to cooperate in increasing opportunities of cooperation in public security, fight against terrorism and cybercrime, further implementation of previous negotiations, and organizing trainings and exchange of experts.
Israel has immense experience in advanced technology, cyber security, biotechnology, agriculture and greenhouse farms. In the above mentioned sectors, Israel agreed to receive and cover the training expense of 35 experts annually.
