Foreign Minister meets UN-OHRLLS High-Rep

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Minister of Foreign Affairs L.Bold Monday met Mr G.C. Acharya, Under-Secretary-General and High Representative for the Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries and Small Island Developing States (UN-OHRLLS). Mr Acharya is visiting Mongolia to take part in a high-level international workshop titled “WTO Agreement on Trade Facilitation: Implications for LLDCs” kicked off Monday in Ulaanbaatar. At the meeting, the sides exchanged views on easing the trade of landlocked developing nations, especially on impact of the WTO Agreement on Trade Facilitation on the landlocked countries. They agreed with an importance of this meeting for summarizing implementation of the Almaty Programme of Action addressing the special needs of landlocked developing countries within a new global framework for transit transport.
