Foreign ministry: Turkey does not interfere in Egypt’s affairs

Azerbaijan, Baku, July 17 / Trend A. Taghiyeva / Turkey does not interfere in Egypt's internal affairs, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said at a briefing in Baku today. "Ankara's only requirement is to fulfill people's will and to establish the democracy in Egypt. Turkish Foreign Minister also added that the representatives elected by people must come to power in Egypt. "Ankara is not going to spoil relations with Cairo," he added. "An example of this is the financial assistance rendered to Egypt by Turkey. And this will continue." Clashes between supporters and opponents of President Mohamed Morsi have been continuing after the Egyptian military suspended the constitution of Egypt and ousted Morsi from power on July 3. Egyptian Islamists do not recognise these decisions and demand the return of power to the legally elected president.
