Founding Anniversary of WPK Observed by Peruvian Parties

Pyongyang, September 28 (KCNA) -- There took place a meeting of Peruvian political parties in Lima on September 21 to observe the 71st founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK). The chairman of the People's Front of Workers, Peasants and Students of Peru said the WPK has performed great exploits, adding the DPRK has turned into a powerful country independent in politics, self-supporting in economy and self-reliant in national defence, possessed of even H-bomb, which the U.S. styling itself the "only superpower" dares not provoke. All successes achieved by the DPRK are the valuable fruition of the wise leadership of the great leaders, he noted. The general secretary of the Revolutionary Socialist Party of Peru and other personages warmly congratulated the WPK on its 71st founding anniversary. Heroism and indomitable spirit being displayed by the Korean people in the struggle for defending the sovereignty of the country, dignity of the nation and socialism are the models the progressive people in the world should learn from. -0-
