Gargash hails role of national entities in combating human trafficking

Abu Dhabi, April 5, 2012 (WAM) - The 25th meeting of National Committee to Combat Human Trafficking held here at Ministry of Foreign Affairs headquarter in Abu Dhabi under the chairmanship of Dr. Anwar Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Minister of Federal National Council Affairs. During the meeting, Gargash lauded committee members and the concerned entities for their contributions in highlighting UAE's strives in combating human trafficking crimes. The committee discussed a number of issues and the visit of Special Rapporteur for Human Trafficking crimes against woman and children to the UAE this month as well as reviewing preparations of the concerned entities in this regard. He said that the visit affirms committee's strategic cooperation with UN institutions and is the outcome of UAE positive efforts in this field. He added that the committee supports all Arab efforts in all aspects concerning to human rights in particular human trafficking crimes. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
