GCC condemns Egypt's Brotherhood's statement on UAE

Riyadh - March 11, 2012 (WAM) - Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Dr. Abdul Latif Bin Rashid Al Zayani has slammed statements made by Mahmoud Gazlan, spokesperson of Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood Movement, regarding UAE as ''irresponsible'' and don't advance efforts being made by the GCC and Egypt to further bolstering longstanding bilateral ties. ''What affects the UAE affects all GCC member states, Al Zayani said, noting these remarks disregard the UAE hosting of Arabs and its efforts to advocate Arab causes. He added the GCC condemns these statements as ''inconsistent'' to all efforts and attempts aimed at unifying Arab and Muslim ranks. - Emirates News Agency, WAM
