GENERAL CUSTOMS OFFICE HEAD WORKS AT “11 11” CENTER
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Incumbent authorities of the General Customs Office (GCO) have done works to make the customs actions quicker and easier, to minimize face-to-face work and to reduce a time spent for accumulating many forms.
This was said by O.Ganbat, the GCO head, at the "11 11" center on Wednesday. He also reported that the stages of collecting forms and documents have been reduced thanks to a new technology with aims to facilitate external trade, remove obstacles and to save time.
Disputes decreased on customs prices arose between customs officers and importers, and the time reduced fivefold when prices of 1,500 products, imported through the Zamyn-Uud border checkpoint, were put open. Moreover, stages of formalities declined at the “Shiveekhuren” and “Gashuun-sukhait” border checkpoints thanks to introducing a paper-free technology of E-customs formalities, he said.
As results of these works, the revenue from customs increased this year by MNT 23 billion, and the revenue from customs tax--by 14.3 billion against the previous year, Ganbat said.
