Georgian CEC cancels restrictions on photo and video shooting in polling stations

Georgia, Tbilisi, October 17/Trend N.Kirtzkhalia/
The Central Election Commission of Georgia changes the rules of photo and video shooting in the polling stations on the presidential election day.
According to the CEC decree, cameramen and photographers will be able to freely enter and go out of the polling stations during the election process, the Georgian CEC told Trend on Thursday.
In addition, the cameramen will be able to shoot the election process from the place determined by the election commission if the dimensions of the place do not allow to stick to the determined distance of three meters.
Georgian non-governmental organizations demanded to change the rules of photo and video shooting on Wednesday which believe that the existing norms prevented the free work of the media representatives.
Presidential election in Georgia will be held on October 27.
