Georgian Defense Minister will participate in NATO ministerial meeting

Georgia, Tbilisi, Oct. 22 / Trend N. Kirtzkhalia / Georgian Defense Minister Irakli Alasania will attend the NATO Defence Ministerial. The Georgian Defense Ministry told Trend that the main themes of the ministerial meeting are the international mission in Afghanistan, cyber security and ballistic missile defence. NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen will open the ministerial meeting on October 22. Georgian defense minister will hold bilateral meetings with co-chairman of the NATO Military Committee, General Knud Bartels, NATO Secretary General's Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia James Appathurai, as well as defense ministers and ambassadors of NATO member-states under the NATO headquarters within the ministerial meeting.
