Great Devotion Made on Blizzard-swept Road of Inspection

Pyongyang, December 12 (KCNA) -- December 17 is the anniversary of the demise of leader Kim Jong Il. With the approach of the day, the DPRK people recollect with deep emotion the patriotic devotion made by Kim Jong Il to building a thriving country. In January Juche 87 (1998), he made an inspection tour of several minor hydraulic power stations and many industrial establishments in Jagang Province despite of blizzard. On January 16 alone, he went round the Pukchon Float Power Station and Pukchon Power Station No. 3 in Kanggye City and Janggang power stations No. 1 and 2 and 55 apartment buildings with electric heating in Janggang County. From January 16 to 21, he gave ceaseless field guidance, covering at least 2 400 kilometers. Then he went over a steep mountain pass to continue his field guidance to Hamhung, Tanchon, and Ranam in South and North Hamgyong provinces. Indeed, his ceaseless inspection tour of different parts of the country was the one of great devotion to lay a firm foundation for building a thriving country. Therefore, the DPRK people will always remember the immortal exploits he performed on the blizzard-swept road of field guidance. -0-
