Gul-Atambaev meeting

BISHKEK (A.A) - December 1, 2011 - In a meeting he held with new Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambaev, Turkish President Abdullah Gul told his Kyrgyz counterpart that, if all principles of the rule of law were implemented, Kyrgyzstan would become a center of attraction.
In a meeting closed to the press corps, Gul congratulated Atambaev for having been elected as the new President of Kyrgyzstan and said that the elections indicated the democratic maturity in Kyrgyzstan.
Gul told his Kyrgyz counterpart that he would encourage Turkish entrepreneurs to invest in Kyrgyzstan.
Atambaev, in his part, said that Gul was his first guest after having been elected president.
Your presence here as my first guest has a symbolic meaning for the Turkish world. Your forefathers moved to your region from here. This is your homeland, Atambaev said.
