G.ZANDANSHATAR INTRODUCES MODEL OF BIOMETRIC PASSPORT

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The Minister of Foreign Affairs G.Zandanshatar met on Thursday with the State Head to introduce a model of a biometric foreign passport. According to G.Zandanshatar, the new foreign passport meets the Concept of National Security, the Concept of Foreign Policy and the International Civil Aviation Organisation's (ICAO) recommendation. It aims to facilitate visiting conditions of Mongolian citizens. He said that it is not possible now to forge passports. It is expected that the new passports will be produced from the next year.
