G.ZANDANSHATAR RECIEVES SOUTH KOREAN AMBASSADOR U SUNG

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ G.Zandanshatar, Head of the Cabinet Secretariat, received U Sung, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Republic of Korea on November 23. Mongolia shares common values with South Korea in democracy, human rights and freedom. So, expanding friendly relations with Korea is one of the priorities in foreign policy of Mongolia, said G.Zandanshatar noting that he will work for broadening the comprehensive cooperation. The minister expressed his gratitude to South Korea for granting soft loan amounted to USD 500 million in the framework of the International Monetary Fund program. He also highlighted that the Government of Mongolia is working effectively in directions of combating corruption and bureaucracy and maintaining discipline in all level of state organizations. During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on issues such as the Prime Minister’s visit to South Korea, establishment of heating plants in 10 aimags with Korean Government soft loan and intensification of the project on renovating Khargia Central Sewage Plant as well as increasing numbers of direct flights between Mongolia and South Korea.
