Head of WPK Delegation Stresses Need to Struggle for Victory of Cause of Human Independence and Socialism

Pyongyang, October 31 (KCNA) -- Ri Su Yong, vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and head of its delegation, made a speech at the 18th international meeting of communist parties and workers' parties which was opened in Hanoi on Oct. 28. The WPK will wage a positive struggle to defend peace and security on the Korean peninsula and in other parts of the world and achieve the victory of the cause of human independence and socialism amid the support and encouragement of the communist parties and workers' parties in the world in the future, too, he said, adding: The international meetings of the above-said parties held over the past several decades have made great contributions to exchanging successes and experience gained in the struggle to frustrate the imperialists' moves against socialism and steadily advance the socialist movement in conformity with its noble mission and purpose and to strengthening mutual support and solidarity. It is the most important and urgent task for the communist parties and workers' parties to check and frustrate aggression, interference in internal affairs and war by the imperialist and hegemonic forces and preserve global peace and security and thus achieve genuine international justice. It is the final goal of the WPK to accomplish the socialist cause and completely realize the independence of the popular masses. It is the goal of the struggle of our party to build a peaceful world free from a war and it is the consistent stand of our party to struggle for regional and global peace and security. -0-
