HEALTH SECTOR ORGANIZES OPEN-DOOR DAY

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ An Open-Door Day of Health ran October 11-12 at Chingis square witha participation of the Minister, UB city department of health, medical organization of the first, second and third stages, and professional healthcare centers. They advertised their activities and gave free-of-charge medical advice to all gathered. The Minister of health N.Udval said the medical professionals should prevent people from illnesses by having them acquired a healthy life-style, and develop Mongolian into healthy people. She stressed that "our well-being is in our hands, it is less efficient to receive medical care after illnesses take over, and remember that most of the illnesses can be prevented". During the event, the representatives of healthcare organizations provided services for people such as measuring blood sugar and blood pressure, making general physical check and giving advice on how and when take medicines and to be protected from diseases.
